This paper is written for the purpose of collecting names of those perahus and identifying some of those perahus in Selangor as identified by previous researchers. The study and the search for various kinds of perahus at some places are needed for the purpose of identifying some types of perahus used by the local Malayonesian people such as in the present place known as the State of Selangor in Malaysia. We have obtained almost 100 names of perahus stated in the old Malay inscriptions and classical Malay manuscripts through out the Malayonesian region. The Malayonesian people was known as the offshore people who were highly skilfull in navigation dan making perahus in various types and forms together with their respective names. Through out the world, especially for a maritime society such as the Malayonesians people before, this water communication became the identity of the people. Perahus (Malayonesian boats) were the main means of communication among the Malayonesian people before even though presently it is practically extinct.
